Was just passing through whilst doing the EHW this week. Was a bit of a god send what with the shop selling hot drinks and snacks aswell as a decent toilet round the back. The views over the loch are great and the castle makes it even more picturesque. There seems to be a fair few good trails on the... More

Loved it - despite the snow and rain, the weather held to let us go walking through the estate with the little ones. A very well set up site and great for children.

Beautiful patch of ancient caledonian forest, lovely to see the red squirrels and other scottish woodland animals thriving here.

Loads to do in Rothiemurchus. Great shop which sells delicious array of estate beef trout and venison. The coffee shop is great (although often busy) but friendly and serves great coffee and fantastic (but huge!) scones.

Visited while in weekend break in the area. Place was busy but staff all pleasant and helpful. Soup and cheese scone were great. Opted for a lovely big meringue but was a bit puzzled that it came totally dry- no cream. Eventually managed to get some pouring cream for it but it was definitely not what I expected when I... Rothiemurchus was a stop off on our way to Loch Eileen. Very beautiful area to visit. We called in on our way back and enjoyed visiting the Farm Shop. Did not buy anything as we felt if was a bit pricey.
