Spent the weekend skiing, unfortunately it has been a poor winter for Scotland however we did manage to enjoy our weekend as there were some runs open. This would be fantastic had all the runs been open. The train is brilliant, its fast and efficient and gets you to the top of the mountain with ease. We paid £28 for... More

We went on a day when there was no skiing, but that didn't matter to us. The trip to the top on the funicular railway was a lovely experience and provided some excellent views towards Inverness and the surrounding area. At the topic a gift shop selling the usual range of souvenirs and a restaurant selling a good range of... More

Great fun, amazing views and a cup of coffee at the top. This is a fun way to travel up the mountain for winter-sport enthusiasts or tourists alike.

Corie Cas Base Camp is a lovely spot to start put for walks. Unfortunately the upper part of the Allt Mhor Trail is not accessible due to a landslide. We took the opportunity to visit the Ptarmigan Cafe for lattes, taking the funicular railway to the top with the skiers and the snowboarders. At the top there is a lovely... More

Despite a warm winter and poor snow conditions that stopped all runs opening, we had a fantastic 3 days skiing. I'm a beginner so the choice of green runs were great for me. Scenery was stunning and taking the funicular for non skiers is also great to do , I took my mum and 6m old. Great set up and... More

We visited the Caingorms for a week with the intention of skiing unfortunately the weather was mild andvthe snow disappeared through the week. Instead of skiing we looked at other activities and found lots to do from walks around Lochs to Reindeer farms and Treezone. Will definately visit again and hopefully get some skiing in.

This was a first for me, in the funicular railway and it was great, the views from the top of the Cairngorms was amazing. Highly recommend to everyone.

Such a beautiful area. But be prepared for the change in weather that could catch you out. We are seasoned skiers and walkers, therefore prepared with plenty of warm and waterproof clothing. Unfortunately it was very windy and a whiteout, so only a couple of runs were open. We went up on the fenicular...and relaxed in the new Ptarmigan Restaurant.... More

Snowclad Cairngorms is a wonderful destination if you want to enjoy a day out with your family and friends. The mountain is the highest in United Kingdom and there is a mountain railway track going right up and you can enjoy a leisurely train ride which is quite exhilarating. Be prepared - it is can be quite cold on the... More

Not always good snow for skiing in winter, but well worth a trip to the top. Fantastic views and challenging walks. Good restuarant/cafe and viewing area. Souvenier shopping. Always on our list to visit with friends new to the area.
