The scotia is a bar that offers a mix of history and friendship. All the staff Ian, Stephanie,Craig,Nathan,Katherine and Ryan lead by Vicky will make you welcome and will provide laughter fun and excellent customer service. The atmosphere is great and the music is provided by those who drink there. I cannot rate this pub highly enough

Always have a good time when visiting the Scotia, always busy, always welcoming, and I always have a good time. Whether it is meeting up with Glasgow pals and enjoying an afternoon of good drink, laughter and music,or going in on my own I always get talking to somebody new!!A special place, go and enjoy!

This is a slice of history. A must visit if seeking a proper old school pub. Great choice of beers ales lagers and over 60 whiskeys On offer. The knowledge and service is second to none. What a great pub steeped in so much history. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to my next visit and taking in the live music on offer at the wkend.

Supposedly haunted
Jan 2020
We visited because 1) it's supposed to be the oldest pub in Glasgow 2) it's supposed to be haunted.
It seemed like a typical pub-- dark with self-service at the bar. We sat at a table in the haunted section, and although some people have seen or heard ghosts, we did not.

Hi don't think so as it is just a pub and not a restaurant. Could be worth calling them.

There are several areas of seating, some at tables and others in cubicles. Hard to say seating capacity, but at a guess I would say 50. There is seating areas all around the bar and in to where there is usually entertainment.

My wife & I will be in Glasgow for 1 overnight in August. We will be staying at the Glasgow City Hotel, I did a quick Google check it looks like the bar is within walking distance from this hotel. Please confirm and also do you sell tee shirts or polo shirts?
Hi Rougeson, we are conveniently located in the City Centre down by the river on Stockwell Street, easy walking distance from most hotels central in Glasgow. We also have live music on Thursdays to Sundays which isn't to be missed, as well as impromptu jamming session throughout the week!
We do indeed sell a range of t-shirts in different colours and sizes for only £9.99.
We look forward to seeing you!
Kind regards,
Dyann
