A lovely campus.
Jul 2021
This is a lovely campus to stroll through.
Forget about getting a tour, though, as you really don't need one.

Fascinating insight
Jul 2021
Brilliant walking tour of the main university buildings led by Lauren. Well worth the price of admission. What an engaging, funny, educational and entertaining hour we had. Fascinating and beautiful buildings and easy to get to the university by bus from the city centre. Highly recommended.

University Guided Tour
Aug 2021 • Couples
We booked online for the 1 hour guided tour. Really easy to book, meet and well organised. Our tour guide (forget her name unfortunately but is studying archaeology) was fantastic: very knowledgeable and engaging. Was great to see the outside and inside and hear about the history. A quick visit to the Hunterian museum afterwards was also great, free and lots of interesting exhibits. All in all an enjoyable hour.

Incredible building
Aug 2021 • Friends
I really like these old buildings with incredible architecture. It’s great to walk around the campus admiring the building and the skill that went into it. It’s a short walk through the park from Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum.

Stunning architecture plus a Museum & Art Gallery.
Jul 2021 • Solo
Totally beautiful campus with stately buildings and an amazing arched plaza area. And many ornate red stone buildings and green lawns.
The Museum was eclectic, covering interesting artifacts from Roman times and electrical inventions of some of Scotland's great scientists. Well presented and in a spacious building. Open to the public with booking and free, as was the Art Gallery.
The Art Gallery presented an extensive collection of James Whistler's paintings that spanned several approaches to modern art.

So informative
May 2021 • Friends
The walking guided tour of Glasgow University lead by Eleanor.
Eleanor was such a credit to the University, delivering her knowledge with passion so professionally.
We learned about the buildings history and more. Why the professors no longer live on campus, past famous students and lecturers and her own education within the university. The building itself is wonderful.
This is a tour we would recommend.

poor profession as a few staff ruined the class experience and not of much value for students
Dec 2019
the staff is not friendly and the professor of a lecture was not trying to actually give students adequate knowledge but ceased almost every case video in the class.

Amazing architecture
Nov 2019
The University of Glasgow was founded in 1451. It is the fourth-oldest university in the English-speaking world and one of Scotland's four ancient universities. A cradle of many important scientists. An architectural master piece you shouldn't miss. Hunterian museum is inside the campus . Incredible architecture and situated in a beautiful location. Glasgow University is a beautiful building complex and really worth a visit.

They DO sell food to Joe public, in a place near the Hunterian Art gallery (it's signposted) but it is very expensive and not very good. Better to go to one of the many places on Byres Road.
