I had high hopes for the GFT, however I was left a little disappointed. The decor in the foyer is lovely - a far cry from the usual bland, multiplex cinemas. Sadly, the screen is a little on the small side. This might be fine...More

The GFT is no ordinary cinema! With an alternative flavour of cinema, it attracts all the right people and showcases all the right type of films. The staff are all passionate cinephiles and provide good service. The Cafe Cosmo was also a great little cafe...More

Enjoyed our recent visit to GFT. Staff were great. My only problem with GFT is seating is not allocated so you're not guaranteed to be seated together which I find quite annoying .

The GFT used to be a Glasgow icon, very stylish. It took you back to a time cinemas themselves were an aesthetic experience and not the hideous multiscreen soulless tack they are now. It still has a great choice of movies - European, art movies,...More

Thanks very much for this considered review. We're delighted that you're a fan of our film selection and atmosphere, even if you're not so keen on the building redevelopments!

A great place to visit if you want to see Indy and mainstream films. Good atmosphere and an excellent range of films. Seating could be better in some of the cinemas. Would recommend.

Usually go here every December to see It's a Wonderful Life. It's a great atmosphere and everyone claps at the end. The location is great to get to, only 2 cinema screens at the location. Will be back again this year.
