Each year I walk under Highlandman's Umbrella on my way to model railway exhibition and also on return to railway station. Has shops under Highlandman's Umbrella and also handy place to get out of rain. It is a land mark so now in right way...More

Really mainly used to enter/exit the station. Not the healthiest places to stand with all the traffic, but there are a lot of different sights to behold. There are a few independent shops here, along with a chippy, restaurant, newsagents, tanning salon. Always busy.

Although everyone should visit here to see the umbrella for themselves, I am afraid to say that it could really do with a massive clean up operation. Not much in the way of much to do here. Would not recommend a visit here at night!!

Well, for me, it is a way of getting from Union Street to the the Raddison Hotel or Wetherspoons. It is very unusual but do not make a special trip!

This is the most nondescript 'attraction' I've seen on tripadvisor. It's a bog standard bridge over a road, an underpass really beneath centre along railway station. It's grubby enough, not at all pretty on the eye and the like of it can be seen in...More

Constructed during a station rebuild of 1901 - 1905, there are many shops and a compact feeling due to the funnelling of pedestrians and traffic. The shops are a mixture of fast food outlets, phone repair shops and the like as found neighbouring many large...More

Nice piece of architecture to look at but sadly has taken its toll due to the increasingly seedy nature of the shops around it. This may be improving as a deli or two are moving in hit you have to survive the pen shops, chip...More
