A little bit of everything in this museum-history, natural world, art, special exhibits. Found the art work to be the highlight for us. A nice choice for families. We combined our visit with a tour of the University of Glasgow which was a good combination.

The art gallery and museum were the first thing on my list to visit. The building itself is magnificent with very high ceilings and sweeping staircases. However the collections were a complete hotchpotch. The art collection was disappointing. For me the highlight was a Lowry seascape. Far and away the most memorable painting. The French collections were OK with a... More

We try to go to this museum every time we visit Glasgow. There is so much to see and the café has delicious cakes. This time we visited at lunchtime so we could enjoy the half hour organ recital. It was spine tingling music.. We will definitely come back

I spent probably 2 hours here one afternoon just exploring the first floor exhibits, never made it to the second floor or the special exhibition. I'll definitely have to come back. The architecture of the building alone is incredible, and well worth stopping by just to get pictures. The exhibits are well put together and very interesting. The cafe is... More

Great place for those that appreciate art, there are lots of interesting exhibits. However, not great if you have children.

If you can't decide what type of museum you want to visit, than take a trip here as it has a bit of everything...natural history, transport, art, fashion, modern, it really is a treasure trove. Despite living in Glasgow for a year, I never got round to visiting the Museum until a recent weekend visiting the city and I wish... More

Started coming to the museum when I was at school and we would spend the day drawing - so it feels like a home from home. There has been a significant investment in the eating establishment and it is a lovely place to take parents and grand parents

Visited Kelvingrove Art Gallery on a very wet dull afternoon 26th Feb 2017. It was all free and there were very interesting collections nd artwork. There were also activities for children. However, the visit came alive with a free guided tour provided by Caroline. She was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the building and the collections.

We wen to view this a special exhibition - which proved fascinating and memorable -showing us things we had not seen before although Much'a style is instantly recognisable. followed by a most enjoyable organ recital in the main hall - a good visit - we will return
