Thoroughly enjoyed a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream involving the RSC, amateur Citizens actors and local school kids. Only down side was that the cafe only sold snacks but no substantial food. Very pleasant outing to a restored Victorian theatre.

I ve been twice recently... Once to a riveting play about a Paedophile and once to a feminist act in the Glasgow Comedy Festival. That's says it all really. Bold and daring programming from a bold and daring and fabulous theatre. Thank you :)

This theatre puts on some fantastic productions and I cannot fault the one we saw last week, Dead End. The two actors from Coronation Street were totally amazing ,the set was perfect and the quality of the performance was incredible. The actual theatre inside has...More

What a little gem! I love historic buildings and this theatre did not disappoint, the auditorium was just beautiful. The play, Endgame was superbly acted and directed, very thought provoking too!! The redevelopment plans will make this a truly stunning venue, not to be missed.

Went to see End Game here and I really like the theatre. Bar at the centre as soon as you get in and was served relatively easily. Great customer service as I booked the 2.30pm show by mistake and arrived for the 7.30. No problem,...More

I hadn't been to the Citz since it was refurbished. There was little evidence that it has been, as far as I could see. It's still dingy and dusty and in need of a good clean and a fresh coat of paint. We went to...More

We're really pleased to read that you enjoyed Endgame, but sorry that you weren't too comfortable in our theatre last week. You're quite right that we're well overdue an upgrade and that our beloved theatre is in some real need of some TLC. We're currently...More

Endgame by Samuel Beckett was totally weird. Not a play for all! The theatre was looking fine yet is heading for a big makeover quite soon. Good bar cafe on ground floor.

It may be frayed at the edges and it is hoped the fundraising efforts are a success because the Citz has long provided a template for challenging, inclusive and affordable theatre. It has long been aimed at all people, hence its location in the heart...More

Moth eaten and slightly dingy the Citz still has a magic all of its own. Right from getting a really good coffee in the foyer to sitting down in our seats the happy excitement continued to build. Then the show (Rapunzel) began and we were...More
