Wonderful evocative theatre with friendly staff. Very reasonably priced tickets. Good sight lines. One downside, not yet anywhere very near for refreshment. Eat in town first!

Went to see Hay Fever, terrific night the staff brilliant, the play very funny best way to spend an evening. Highly entertaining cast a joy, Myra Mcfadyen was just fantastic. We will be making the Citz a regular event.

Went to see Hay Fever (Noel Coward) there this week. As always the 'Citz' was a great experience. The staff members are very welcoming, the plays are right in your face in this fairly small theatre and the acting just superb. I intend going more...More

The Citizen's make everything easy, from booking the tickets to buying drinks and finding your seat. Super friendly helpful staff throughout. Comfy seats and a nice temperature, good sound. Meant that we could enjoy the show (Richard Herring) without any distractions. Much cheaper than the...More

Good to support this Glasgow treasure. Good shows and interesting venue. Has a traditional theatre feel with great open plan bar space for pre theatre drinks. Great eclectic atmosphere. Great mix of people. Parking is almost impossible- even though there's a car park. Get there...More

Sorry that you had difficulties parking Alan. We try our best to make sure that our car park is only used by visitors to the Citz, but it can get full. Luckily, we're very close to Bridge Street Underground, have several buses right outside our...More

If you get the chance to go on the backstage tour, my advice is - go! It's not suitable for those with disabilities & the building needs refurbishment, but this makes it authentic. The tour began with a brief history of theatre in Glasgow &...More

First time to this theatre for me and absolutely loved it. Easy taxi ride from Queen Street Station. Loved the ambience and seat was comfortable. Show was excellent and would highly recommend. Actors and writing were very funny and beautifully delivered.

The Citizens is a quaint little theatre with a good atmosphere, a very accessible bar and clean toilets. It is a bit of a nuisance that the centre seating section is so wide as it does mean you have to squeeze past quite a few...More

My partner needs extra leg room so I tend to book an aisle seat. Could you tell me how restricted the view is in the stalls(row H to be exact) Thank you in advance for your answer.

Hello Dale, it's slightly dependent on the production you've booked for how restricted your view will be from your seat at the end of a row. Normally, your view of the side of the stage that you're sitting on may be slightly... More

Hi, I've bought tickets for a show at the citizens theatre, but I've never been before - I just wondered how bad the 'restricted view' is from the dress circle slips? Will I struggle to see any of the show? Thanks, Michael

Hi Michael, it really depends on the design of the show that you've bought tickets for how much your view will be affected. Our dress circle has a very deep curve, so you'll be quite close to the stage, but may not be able... More
