The Hunterian is a real tribute to the philanthrophy and generosity of one of Glasgow's great inhabitants. Real revelation

It's ok. Nothing more, I'm afraid. Terrific, if you like Whistler, but it's really not worth going out of your way for because beyond that, there is nothing much to see. In truth, I was disappointed by the offering, the layout and the information provided....More

Went on the recommendation of a friend, what an absolute joy of a find. Worth it purely for the Whistler collection. Friendly welcoming staff, and look out for the French revolutionary clock!

This is a brilliant museum, totally undersold. Since the Art Galleries dumbed down at the last refurb/remodel, the Hunterian is the place to go to see proper collctions and exhibits.

Really fascinating museum with a wide range of historical exhibits. Good informative labelling too. Disappointed not to sell a guide book though.

Sometimes huge galleries can be hard going. The Huntarian is small and selective with possibly the best Whistler collection in the world and there is also a range of wonderful other works. Dutch artists such as Rembrandt, Italian and Flemish artists, French painters such as Pissarro,...More

A delightful afternoon spent at Hunterian Art Gallery, Glasgow University. We only visited the ground floor gallery which had wonderful collections of Glasgow Colourists, Glasgow Boys, French Paris Commune satirical sketches and Whistler paintings and much more. It is free and next door is reassembled...More

Like the Museum, there are links to the University of Glasgow - a symbiotic relationship. Especially strong on late 19th/early 20th century art, the Whistler collection is one of the best in the world. Strongly recommended

Sorry I don't know the answer. I was only in Glasgow 2 days last month on a short break. I do not live there and so do not keep up to date on what's on.

Not sure since we didn't actually go to the show but it should be worth it as Scottish comics are great eg the Beano and the Dandy,
