At the most basic level it's worth visiting for the view at the top and the nice staircase to the top level. It oi a design "institute" and as such I think probably needs to be considered a working building. There seem to be a...More

Went because I was directed by the lovely tour provider at the Modern Art Museum. It does offer a good view of Glasgow but not what you would expect. There is the philosophical door of why life can't be a series of open doors. There's...More

I have visited but probably won't go again unless there is a specific exhibition that I want to see. Traveling up the escalator was interesting to see the outside of the existing buildings, sandstone and glazed tile. The stairs down go around the lift which...More

It isn't the easiest place to photograph from the outside, but the conversion into function suites inside is a credit to modern architects and designers. It's amazing to see what has been done inside.

We visited here to look at all the Mackintosh items of which there are many. I like the way the items are displayed and explained. The view from the top of the building is amazing.

The tour was interesting and the guide knowledgeable and if she was unsure was prepared to find the answers. The building combines Mackintoshes genius with modern day ideas and succeeds. The exhibition on mackintosh and the trip up the tower was a real highlight and...More

We started our Charles Rennie Mackintosh exploration at the Lighthouse, which is in a building that his firm designed. The Mackintosh exhibit on the 3rd floor gave a constructive view of his work and life. And it's free!
