The trifecta of retail therapy, wondrous discovery and what I can only describe as home-baked nostalgia being kept warm just in case you happened to be by. Fans even the faintest appetite for reading. Each visit is like coming to a wild garden in a new season.

It's difficult to leave Young's without a purchase - the range of both antiquarian and second hand books covers Scottish history and literature to more wide-ranging novels and even pop-up books. Recommended for a happy place to browse and be delighted!

The fabulous smell of old books hits you the minute you step into this beautiful wee shop! It has a wonderful array of secondhand books, ranging from classics to music books to books about psychology. I would recommend this shop to anyone who enjoys reading, it is definitely worth the visit!

A great wee bookshop, full of the odd, curious and wonderful. Especially good selection of local interest books, such as Ivor Cutler, "Greek" Thomson and Charles Rennie MacKintosh.Highly recommended!

A little gem of a shop in Shawlands selling second hand and antiquarian books at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit for those with an interest.

Well worth a trip to the south side of Glasgow and a casual browse: classics, memories of childhood, and an eclectic mix of all kinds of literature. Go read!

After noticing this book shop a couple of times I decided to wander in and have a look. Many books caught my eye of all sorts of different styles and I bought four in particular that really interested me. The shop owner was lovely and very kind. I will certainly be going back in the future.

Went into Young's Interesting Book shop to get a book for my brother as it was his birthday coming up and he mentioned he had seen something he liked in the window display. Couldn’t find the particular book but the owner was really helpful and after discussing my brother’s interests I’m pretty sure I ended up with something far better.... More
