Don't bother
Sep 2021 • Couples
Having toured many distilleries we were looking forward this, we shouldn't have bothered.
Overpriced mostly self guided tour (2 rooms and a video). Lacking in content and value.
Website promises 3 x 10 year old whisky tasters from different regions for a comparison. We got 2 thimbles of 3 year old whisky and some clear spirit.
Add to that the awful slow service and Inflated prices at the coffee shop and I would really honestly advise you not to bother.
What makes it worse is that I emailed 2 weeks ago to raise my issues and no-one has even had the decency to respond.

Tour and cafe
Sep 2021 • Couples
Amazing visit. We only have good things to say. We did the tour and Becky was very knowledgeable and friendly. All the installations are very modern and it felt really safe. The tour ended with a tasting of their own whiskies and lots of information on how to taste whisky the proper way! We then stopped at the cafe for a flight (Moonraker) and some coffee and a doughnut. This was really good as well and again the friendliness of staff was a highlight. Their shop also has really good prices and a nice selection.

Well Organised But Slightly Disappointing
Sep 2021
We did the Tour with the Whiskey and Chocolate tasting session @£30ea. The tour was informative and lasted just under an hour with a combination of visuals as well as a tour guide. The distillery was being maintained/cleaned on the day of our visit so we never saw any distillation processes.
The eagerly anticipated tasting session was well run and very informative however we were really disappointed that the 5 whiskeys were not ones manufactured at this distillery (Glenfiddich, Talisker and Tomatin to name a few). The explanation when asked was that they were 'not ready' with their own products.
Worth checking beforehand. Aside from the whiskey, the chocolate and the nice branded glasses (free) made up for the disappointment!

Whisky and chocolates tour!
Sep 2021 • Couples
Amazing time! My family booked onto the chocolate and whisky tour with Ronnie our tour guide. So impressed with the knowledge and experience. The chocolate and whisky pairing was so cleverly done, the chocolates were AMAZING! Highly recommend! Would have loved to have been able to have purchased the whisky and chocolates on site but I understand there are some supply issues which can’t be helped currently. Staff were very friendly and even brought my dad some tasty doughnuts to help celebrate his birthday which was a lovely and much appreciated gesture!

The 100 Riversider service operated by SPT runs between George Square (north) in Glasgow city centre and the Scottish Event Campus and Riverside Museum (south) and back every 30 minutes.
The low level west bound train from central station will also take you to SECC - the distillery is nearby.

Can I walk from Patrick railway station to the clydside distillery and how long would it take
Hi David,
From Partick Station, it's a 15 to 20-minute walk.
1. Start out along Merkland Street, heading south.
2. After 150 metres turn right onto Beith Street, heading west.
3. Almost immediately, turn left onto the pedestrian and cycle path, heading south.
4. After 100 metres continue straight onto the footpath alongside the expressway. heading east.
5. After 250 metres bear left, heading east.
6. After 15 metres turn right onto the footpath alongside the expressway heading south.
7. After 70 metres continue straight onto Pointhouse Road, heading south.
8. After 500 metres turn right onto the footbridge, heading west.
You will then be able to see The Clydeside Distillery.
