While the Old Course will always be the big attraction - playing the New Course should also be on your list. IMMACULATE condition with in ground sprinklers down every fairway. All of the money generated by the Old Course is clearly shared amongst its siblings. Every hole is interesting - and fair. The bunkers will penalize you - but the... More

Not as much history as the old course but a lot of fun. Felt easier to play and very enjoyable. Fair and fun for a lot of different types of golfers.

Good Menu...Excellent Food...Good Service Great value for money. We like the unusual Scottish dishes on the menu also the fish dishes are exceptional. The waiting staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. For the type of food properly presented the bills are very acceptable.

There are many who say that the present layout of the classic New Course captures the essence of the work and design of the legendary Old Tom Morris. If the New Course stood alone it would attract even more plaudits. It is an outstanding links course and a significant challenge for any golfer however talented. The fairways are much narrower... We arrived at St Andrews on Sunday afternoon and walked on the New Course on Monday morning. We were surprised we were able to tee off almost immediately after paying our greens fees. This was my first experience with a links course in Scotland and we hired a push cart. Big mistake. I lost eight balls simply because I was... More

Played in the area in Sept 2015 and thought we ought to play one of the courses at the home of golf. You can play here by simply turning up with your clubs and taking your chances. Course itself stand up as a good links course, with lots of traditional bunkers, narrow fairways, hidden approach shots, etc. We came off the... More

Because this course was opened after "The Old Course" in 1895 it Is called the new course. But it is the oldest new course you will ever play. This course is a little more constricted than the Old Course and therefore a little harder. But stay out of the bunkers and it is quite fun. We had great caddies which... More

A fantastic alternative to the Old course set in the heart of the home of golf I have played the New for many many years now and I can categorically say its up there with the best of Links. It looses nothing to the Old course other than name and tradition Great value and condition is always superb. Highly recommend... More
