We did the route by car and we are definitely going back to walk parts of the path in the near future. We loved the architecture of every village from Ludin to St Andrews. It is a lovely though not as well-known part of Scotland....More

I have taken the coastal route several times using different routes and I always find something new. The countryside is great at the sea is very accessible.

My wife and I had been looking forward to a pleasant drive along this well advertised route with so many interesting stopping places. To be fair we thoroughly enjoyed the stop offs at Aberdour, Pittenweem and Crail in particular - beautiful on the sunny day...More

I walk stretches of the fife coastal path every week and love it. Good paths. Some routes more challenging than others. It's on bus and rail routes, so you can walk a stretch and take the bus back to the car. My favourite bits for...More

Walked the section from St Monans to Abstruther and also various bits in Crail, St Monans and Elie to Earlsferry. Some great views throughout and after checking the tide times, the Elie chain walk should be experienced. Took the better half and myself around an...More

Would say that if ur a local then these roads will cause u no problems but for a non local the road can be very hard to deal with - sharp corners, werid parking and speed limits of 20 mph

The coastal route was taken from Kirkcaldy up past Dysart Harbour. It's a beautiful but if coastline with plenty to see and do, along with burning off your calories, it's well worth it.

Having driven the entire Coastal Road, I would say for anyone looking to do it, forget anything South of Upper Largo. Basically, if you stick to the East Neuke of Fife section north from Upper Largo to St Andrews and beyond you're in for it....More

Most visit St.Andrews but for a royal treat take the short drive to the small fishing villages that are Crail, Cellardyke,St.Monans and Anstruther. There are lots of B&Bs in village and each has great local pubs and cheap resturants. We stayed in Anstruther in a B&B above...More

Exploring this coastline is an adventure, one minute it's soft and sheltered then turn the corner and it's rough and wild. Great bird life, explore old military outposts, historic harbours and visit quiet villages - try to find somewhere for a coffee! Golf courses aplenty!
