About
Rabbie’s small group tours are driven by curiosity and guided by storytellers. We find the stories that go deeper and live longer in travellers' minds. On our journeys, everyone’s hungry for the little-known or just-happened, and we can go after them: no track too small, too trodden or obscure. No need for scripts, because our guides know places like the back of their hand.

From the beginning, it was clear that Rabbies takes the covid precautions very seriously. Each bus was equipped with a sneeze-guard for the drivers and enough hand sanitizer to last much longer than the trips. All of our accommodation was also clean and we had private bathrooms. Currently, less people are allowed in the vans, which makes it very easy to get to know the other people you are traveling with. My husband and I booked a 14-day tour with Rabbies that allowed us to meet and join three different tour guides (Grant, Barney, and Michael). All three of the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Grant is very enthusiastic about his job and showing people why he loves Scotland. Along with taking the backroads so we could view the more scenic route, he created a welcoming atmosphere that allowed us to get to know him and the other couple on the tour. Barney was very knowledgeable when it came to the history of every place visited and flexible with the itinerary when a place was closed. My husband and I were the only people on Michael's tour, so it felt like a private tour (perk of going during a low season). Michael learned that we love hiking and he was able to find the best hiking trails on Skye for us. He catered to our itinerary and throughout the trip, talked to us like we were old friends catching up in a pub. All the guides were very welcoming and are passionate about their work and their country. Rabbies was the best tour company I have booked and I plan to bring my family sometime and go through Rabbies again.

You will have a great experience with any one of them.

We took a day tour to Loch Ness and the highlands. 8am - 8pm
The tour operators were very efficient getting everyone checked in and telling you who your guide was.
The tour appealed to us because we went in a 16 seating minibus, thus a smaller group rather than on a coach.
Ashleigh was our guide and she was fabulous and went above and beyond our expectations with her information and places we stopped.
We experienced some beautiful landscapes on the tour and made so many stops for photo opportunities.
It was a long day, but well worth it. Ashleigh made sure we had plenty of opportunities to refuel and use facilities.
My favourite parts were the stops for photos at the Three sisters and the waterfall in the woods.
My only criticism is that when we went to Loch Ness you had the opportunity to have a boat trip on the Loch. This was optional and was out choice. We paid £15 each which in hindsight after a whiz out and round in a loop on a packed boat I was disappointed and thought it was overpriced. I wondered if there was anywhere you could have accessed the Loch on foot for 1/2 walk which would have given you the same photo opportunities as the boat?
I also thought the lonely Highland Coo was a bit sad in its pen, rather than seeing some in a field together.
We came back feeling like we'd thoroughly enjoyed this trip down to the fabulous views, changeable weather, great tour planning, but also Ashleigh's enthusiasm for Scotland.
Would recommend the tour, but not the expensive Loch Ness Boat trip.

I had the chance to book my first trip to Scotland quite last time, due to short notice holidays, and I didn't feel confident enough to drive on the left, so I booked this four days tour of the west highlands and the Isle of Skye departing from Edinburgh's city centre, which was very convenient as it gave me time to explore the city as well.
Our tour guide, Andy, was very helpful, pacient and had a terrific knowledge of his beautiful country's history and hidden spots, it was a pleasure to hear all of the tales that really got everyone on the bus in the mood. He also stopped at a specific spot near Dunvegan because I asked if it was possible to see a seal colony and that was probably one of the highlights of my trip, along with all the whisky, brews and breathtaking scenary!
I booked my stay through Rabbie's as well, and both of the b&bs I stayed at were just welcoming and lovely.
An advice I woud give to make the experience even better is to notify that everything is booked and confirmed and be more efficient in replying to customers enquiries, all that silence made me scared I would find no one waiting for me on the departure day... other than this, it was all perfect, very good value for money, and I would definitely reccomend Rabbie's over any other tour company to those who speak English! Thank you Rabbie's, Andrew and all the lovely people on the bus, I had an amazing time in Scotland!

Devon & Cornwall with Rabbies
I went on my first tour with Rabbies on the 5 day Devon and Cornwall tour.

The experience of the tour was flawless. Graham, is an incredibly professional and lovely person. He takes on the role of driver, guide, helper, friend, DJ

He also drove back to my Bnb so quickly to give me my phone which I had forgotten one time on the bus.

He is caring, helpful, friendly, funny, reliable, punctual and just a good person.

Driver guides have alot of coordination to do. It cannot be an easy job. He gave us (my tour group) the service and the tour to an exceptional standard.

I am thankful for this experience and am looking forward to travelling with Rabbies sometime in the future

We had a lovely, brand new van which was very comfortable and always kept clean.

Graham made me laugh a few times too - it was nice banter and I felt like I was on holiday, which I was!

If I have to suggest any improvement to Rabbies, I would say please review your list of "preferred b&Bs" such as the Telstar in Exeter which I felt took me back 100 years in time and the owner was kind of rude as well.

If I have to suggest anything to readers of this review, who might be thinking of booking a tour with Rabbies, then I say go for it!! It was great fun. But a tip, from my own experience is to book your own accommodation directly and dont use Rabbies contacts. Telstar was horrible.

I booked my own places for 3 of the 4 nights which were Mercure Rougement (despite mixed reviews online), the room was clean and the service was great and there is a pie shop and a Five Guys burger shop literally 10 seconds across the road.

For Falmouth, I stayed at the Bosanneth Guest house which was unbelievable - so clean, modern with a lovely room, modern luxury feel and a fantastic full hot breakfast as well as the cereals and fruit and yogurts.. and tea, biscuits and mint chocs in the room. My room was amazing and cosy.

Just a lovely trip am so happy right now.

We're so glad that you enjoyed the tour. It's great to hear that Graham looked after you so well and helped you make the most of the experience. Telstar is a Tripadvisor travellers choice property and rated in the top 5 B&Bs in Exeter so we're very surprised that you were not satisfied here. We're really sorry to hear this and appreciate your feedback. We hope to see you again soon, Best wishes, Aimee

We've just completed a private tour organized by Rabbie's, our tour consultant is Marte. He's very responsive to our requests and queries right from the start. He even made sure that we have the driver's (or guide's) name and contact number at least 1 day before the start of the tour. This was especially helpful when we arrived early for one of our transfers from the railway station. When one of our flights was delayed and we had to switch flights, he arranged for us to be picked up at a later time. We have no issues with any of the transfers he arranged for us. As for the day tours, all tours are well-paced; we did not feel rushed to leave any of the attractions. Overall, the day tours were excellent. Rabbie's is highly recommended, contact them for your private tour needs and you will not be disappointed.

We were a family group of 6 and had a private tour with Rabbies. We visited Glengoyne distillery, Loch Lomond, the Trossachs and Inveraray.
The tour was fabulous, Michael, our guide, picked us up on time, the minibus was very clean and very comfortable. Michael kept us entertained all day with many stories and we are now far more knowledgeable on Scottish history and folklore we also saw some stunning scenery.

In spite of Rabbies main office being closed the booking system was easy, Lea was very helpful, booking the distillery tour and a restaurant for lunch in Inveraray.

Thank you Michael for a very enjoyable day out, we can highly recommend you and Rabbies tours.

Private tours are a great way of seeing the country as we can tailor itineraries and visits to suit your group. You were in good hands with Lea organising everything behind the scenes and Michael as your tour guide, we're glad you had such a great day out. Thanks so much for your feedback and recommendation. Best wishes, Aimee

My sister and I took the 2 days tour in the highlands. We didn’t expect to see so much things in only 2 days. We saw so much wonderfull castles, Lochs, mountains, landscapes, culloden’s Battlefield, we also learned a lot about Scotland’s history with our amazing guide James!
If you are a fan of outlander, you will also see a lot of spots from the tv show as well.

Also the night we spent in Inverness was great, the BnB that Rabbies booked for us was great and not so expensive (heathbank BnB), and we ate in a good restaurant, that was recommanded also by our guide (Waterfront restaurant).

We recommand this tour, it was soooo much better than what we expected. Thank’s a lot Rabbie’s!!

We had a fantastic time on the 1-Day Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan Castle tour on May 7th with James! James worked hard to make sure we had as many breaks as possible, which was not an easy task considering the distance covered on the tour. Although the breaks needed to be quite short, we did not feel pressured. We were extremely lucky on this tour as the weather was stunning, allowing us a perfect view of Loch Ness, Eilean Donan, and all of Skye (especially at the Quiraing). James is an excellent guide who provided lots of stories and fun facts throughout the tour, and kept us feeling safe in the bus even with the twisting one-lane roads. James is also very respectful, provided a good amount of suggestions (Glen Shiel chocolate!), and made lots of stops where washrooms were available. James also planned carefully to make sure we arrived at Eilean Donan Castle as early as possible so that we did not have to wait in line before entering. Kilt Falls were unfortunately impossible to see due to construction, but James made sure to make up for it by spending extra time on other spots and taking breaks at other fun areas. Overall we would highly recommend this tour (and definitely our tour guide), as we had a great experience of Skye even without being able to stay on the Isle itself.

This was my first time traveling with Rabbie’s and first time to Scotland. Before went on this 3-day highland trip with the Rabbie’s, I was quite skeptical about tour trips based on previous experiences in other countries ran by other agencies.
But this one converted me entirely. It was amazing! We were a small group with only 4 people and none of us is a native speaker. Rabbie’s gave us Dom as our guide, whose English is perfect. Listening to him was like listening to BBC which was such a relief and really thoughtful arrangement by Rabbie’s. And the vehicle they provided was very spacious, clean, safe and fast.
We all knew how the weather in Scotland was like at the time of the year. 2 out of 3 days we spent there were raining at times and it was really foggy and damp when it rained. But Dom didn’t let the weather weigh us down. He was able to leverage on his story-telling skill of fairy tales with his soft, calm, a bit cheerful and a bit mysterious tone, to bring the mysterious history of highland to life! And the fairy tales he told with his voice somehow grew on you and it started to feel so much better to tour in rain rather than in sunshine because it fits the island well. He also had an appropriate sense of humour which lit the mood up throughout the whole trip (don’t really know how he managed to be so calm but funny at the same time).
