I personally loved this tour!! We stopped at a number of places and it was very well spaced, we stayed at all the places for a great amount of time. There is so much to see, I absolutely love the highlands so anything in that direction is a bonus!! We saw a beautiful castle used in the tv show Outlander... More

We took the one-day tour of Loch Ness, Glencoe and Highlands with Adam. The experience was "spot on" for our tour wish list: professional guide, comfortable van and wonderful learning experience. Adam was exceptional in his vigilant concern for all aboard, his storytelling and his knowledge of all that we saw. He had a keen sense for when to talk... More

I would rate this service higher than 5/5, if I could. We were a family of 5, from India, holidaying in the UK. And we desparately wanted to see the best that the Highlands could offer. And Rabbies delivered. A 12 hour journey, covering over 300 miles, which allowed us to see the Lochs, and the Glens, and the Bens... More

Even though it was raining it didn't even affect how amazing this tour was. I was a solo traveler and it was nice to meet friendly solo travelers as well. Ross is not only cute to look at but he's extremely knowledgeable and doesn't just regurgitate dates and names, absotively posilutely NOT. Ross tells history the way it should be... More

Took the two day Highlands Loch Ness tour with Nicky. Two days is not really enough for a full Highlands experience but I'd already done the Isle of Skye tour (loved it) and didn't have time for a longer tour. Love the Highlands. Good short tour with a night in Inverness. We were l lucky and the weather was great.... More

Rabbies Isle of Skye tour is a terrific experience. The stops are well placed offering time to enjoy a variety of places, not to feel rushed, and to absorb a great deal of information. The views are breath-taking and Emily's guidance full of care and passion for the Country. It's a great value and a great day!

I was on a tour with Mack for the Outlander Tour & Karen for the Isle of Skye Tour. Both were absolutely beyond my expectation! Both guides know these tours so well. I felt like we were taken to places that were not just on the standard tour bus track. Each guide had their own style of delivery. Mack &... More

I looked at other tour groups and was having trouble booking, another tour company recommended Rabbie's. After reading their reviews and policies Of " you book, We go"I decided to contact them. From the customer service rep, to Nick Young our guide I was not disappointed . I highly recommend them.

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
