Just an amazing church and graveyard. One of first places we walked through, just below Edinburgh castle. Just so much history on these grounds. Has an eerie feel to it.

Stepping off the busy road we entered a tranquil space beautifully placed in sylvan surrounds. As we walked the pathway through the trees and the Kirkyard the wonderful aspect and facade of the church came into view. A number of fine sculptures adorn the outside,...More

I followed the sound of the bells on Sunday and found this lovely old church with its own ancient graveyard at the foot of Edinburgh Castle. I was pleased with the calm woodland atmosphere which feels far away from the busy city noise and traffic....More

A very well kept historic graveyard in the middle of Princes Street Gardens and just below Princes Street and the buses and trams - not that you would know that as this place is very tranquil. Well worth a visit.

We were intent on walking into as many churches as we could on Princes St and by the time we got to St Cuthbert, we were ready to call it the last one. And I believe that the spirit of Agatha Christie led me to...More

Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street
is only half one, since buildings only line one side.
But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views
are from Princes Street as a result. From here you
look onto expansive and decorative public gardens
beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s
