It was delightful spending time by the sea in this lovely area. We enjoyed walking around and particularly along the Shore. A fine Memorial to Merchant Seamen lost at sea has bas-reliefs of numerous nautical activities such as on the lookout, plotting a course and...More

Leith is the old maritime center of Edinburgh, so it is an historical place and still an important place especially in order to load or unload passengers or cargo

Formerly red light area and docklands with a mixture of funky original pubs and new gastropubs, fish and chip shops and the great Harburn Hobbies, centre for model railway enthusiast, as I was.

The person who said there is nothing to do obviously could not be bothered too look. Lots of bars/restaurants/shops. The Royal Yatch Britannia is here!! The people are very very friendly and we have had to book a week long visit back here as we...More

The area around the shore at the mouth of the Waters of Leith is very nice with smart ( Michelin star) restaurants and a lovely place to sit.

While there are some nice views and some (little) limited and unique shopping, we found this unimpressive at best. Mostly set up for Cruise Ship passengers that get off the ship and do not choose a tour to Edinburgh, unless you have lots of extra...More

Lovely part of Edinburgh, great record shops and alternative unique shops not found in the city centre. I visited the school of art for a life drawing class. The school of art is a beautiful building. Shame they never linked the trams! Had to get...More

We stayed apartment in area of waterfront. Nice view of ocean and view of brigades. It's not too far to city center, half hour by bus. Some good sea food restaurants around.

Travelled through here enroute to Ocean Terminal on no 22 bus. Beautiful place especially in the sunshine. Pubs sjops and restaurants to visit. Worth a wee walk through before heading back into Edinburgh centre

Leith is a lovely area within Edinburgh and easily accessed by bus or the tour bus we took. It's a lovely tranquil area and away from all the hustle of main Edinburgh. Would highly recommend visiting if you have enough time to explore Edinburgh outside...More

Hi, Cost would be around £20. Thre is also an airport bus that goes to Proces St and then a bus to Leith No 16 which would be cheaper but longer time and depends how much luggage you have.

Leith is quite a big area with one if it's borders right near the centre so it could be anywhere from £5-15 depending also in the day (surcharges apply late at night and on weekends). If you download the Uber app it gives... More
