We had very limited time, and would not be able to do any visiting in the afternoon, so we decided to hop-on on the city sightseeing bus. We took the red line and it was a good decision overall, could grasp a little bit of...More

This hop on hop off Edinburgh bus tour is very nice as there was commentary given in different languages about the monuments and other nice attractions you see on the road side. They've given us a ear phones with which we listened to the commentary.

What a joy. We used the green bus with live commentary which was excellent value for money and very informative. The commentators were very good while adding a bit of comedy as well as first class history lessons.

We arrived at Waverley Bridge and purchased our ticket from a helpful gentleman. Our bus arrived within 5 minutes and very soon we departed. The driver was skilled at maneuvering the bus through the narrow streets and was most considerate of those a lighting.

We took the Hop On Hop Off bus the day we arrived (we had flown all night). It was a great way to see the city, hear it's history and decide where we wanted to visit during our stay in Edinburgh. The fare allowed us...More

Sorry for the delay in answering - Jet lag is a killer! We did use the Red bus route so not exactly sure about the Green Bus. As others have answered I think it was about 1 hour. Hope this helps
