We were not able to see the actual Camera Obscura, as it relies on sunlight and at 4pm it was already growing dark when we entered. We were given a small discount to compensate for this. This is worth a visit, particularly with children. Some...More

Thank you for your review. The Vortex Tunnel is one of our more disorienting exhibits, so we are delighted to hear that you really enjoyed it! It’s also brilliant to hear that you found so many of the exhibits entertaining and interesting too. We hope...More

There’s a lot to do at camera Obscura. It’s a great day out for families, but it also makes for a really memorable date location if you haven’t been before. The camera Obscura itself (at the top of the building) is phenomenal.

Entertaining. Makes a adult feel like a kid again. A world of imagination. Don’t be in a hurry. This is a visit well worth a day visit. Use the free entry stamp for return visit. Worth energy penny.

Camera obscura is one of its kind illusion house and even claimed to be the oldest!! It's fun for all age groups and is full of mind twisting illusions. Don't miss the show they have on top of the building!!More

This is most certainly interesting in it self, but shouldn’t be on a list for what you have to see in Edinburgh or Scotland. The actual Camera Obscura is indeed a local artefact, but not really worth it unless you are really interested in the...More

Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests

that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
