While we loved walking around Edinburgh, our kid got a bit bored. Hence planned this place and she loved it. Keep around 2 hours for this place as it has a lot to offer. She loved the mirrors, trick photography, etc. However she was apprehensive...More

Located beside entrance to edinburgh castle, camera obscura was great fun. It was 12.50 for student as part of a group of 14 people. Suited all ages and each floor fun and interesting. Recommended, something different from just seeing the sights

Very fun way to pass time in Edinburgh. A bit over priced but plenty to do and see- no elevators which is bad with 6 floors, bathrooms were being refurbished too. Mirrors could do with a clean inside the attraction.

Wonderful place to visit for any age. Must see attraction in Edinburgh. Don’t miss the 15 minutes show. Beautiful presentation of old age technology.

Really enjoyed the couple of hours spent here, was nice that you got a little tour around Edinburgh using the camera then could explore the floors below. Suitable for all ages and very entertaining, good value for money.

A friend recommended this and I'm very pleased I took her advice as it's not the kind of attraction I would normally visit. My teenage sons loved it and were engrossed and entertained throughout. Ross our Camera Obscura presenter was particularly good. A highlight of...More

Great attraction in Edinburgh and definitely my favourite thing to do. Really well done. We arrived at opening time and there was already a queue so be prepared to get here early as when we were leaving the queue was huge. 5/5 though! Especially with...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
