Sandy was an excellent tour guide and it was an amazing insightful tour. A labarinth of a hidden city waiting to be explored. It gave a real feel of what it would have been like in the days of the Black Plague.

The tour guide, Katy was knowledgeable and friendly. Overall the tour was quite interesting but I didn't feel it was worth the money. £10pp would be a more realistic price.

This was quite an interesting attraction. Our guide was great and we learned a lot. Wish that it was a longer tour with a smaller group

My husband and I visited Edinburgh for three days and this was recommended to us. The tour is an hour guided walkthrough of several underground chambers and tunnels. It provides some interesting and humourous background to things such as the plague. This should not be...More

Hour long tour of the living conditions of 15th and 16th century Scotland. Our guide did a good job of telling stories, sharing details from Scots' daily lives. Guides clearly enjoy the work (they were dressed as maids and servants).

Booked on the tour the same day, all staff were fantastically knowledgeable, entertaining and friendly, the tour guide was hilarious without loosing the focus of the topic, intresting sites and content would highly recommend! Coffee Shop rather tempting too!!

Tour was alright. There were other tours under there at the time, which you could hear, so that kind of took away from the tour. Also the photos we took during the tour made it feel a bit ‘money grabbing’. Interesting hearing about what happened...More

We booked on the tour last minute during our weekend in Edinburgh and so glad we did. This gives you a real first hand experience of what it was like to like in Edinburgh in the 1600's, moving through the underground rooms with fascinating stories...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
