Very beautiful gardens with lots of hidden statues and sculptures. There is new one with a bear and a soldier that is excellent.

A nice get away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. The west side of the park was little bit less crowded than the east side one but both of them were beautiful. The floral clock was impressive. There was lots to see; many...More

We attended the Tom Jones concert in Princes Street gardens recently and the back drop of the Castle from the gardens is spectacular. The gardens are really lovely and well kept with the flower clock at one end. Worth a visit.

If you happen to be in Edinburgh on a sunny day, you must see or have a picknick in the Princess Gardens, with nice view on Edinburgh Castle, but also nice nature arround you.

In the middle of the city it is so good that they have retained the green spaces. It is quiet although it is still a thoroughfare between the old and the new town. Plenty of grassy banks to sit on and enjoy the weather although...More

We took a walk in a not so cold December day. There was the regular Christmas market taking place so the area was busy. It was an enjoyable and colourful walk.

The gardens offer a large beautiful park setting the the middle of very busy Edinburgh. We put together items for a picnic at the Sunday Stockbridge Market and enjoyed them in the gardens that evening. A wonderful memory from our time in Edinburgh.

I don't think there is anywhere to eat directly in the park. But there is a Wetherspoon's near the park and also several restaurants at St. Andrew Square which is not far.
