Just as the name says this show is a taste of Scotland. From the bagpipers at the entrance of the building to the haggis to the wonderful Scottish dancers, this show is all Scotland and a good time for the visitor. For sure it is touristy; that is why they do it, to give the visitor a little bit of... More

My travel buddies and I absolutely loved this show. First time Scotland visitors were thrilled! The food and service were excellent. The show was amazing. So glad a bit of the traditional was featured. Prestonfield is an incredible estate. The owner apparently worked from the bottom up and eventually when it came up for sale, he purchased it. Great story!!... More

Not knowing just what to expect we decided to attend this “Taste of Scotland”. We were welcomed by a piper in full regalia and entered a showroom. While awaiting dinner we enjoyed a cocktail and then the Ceremony of the Haggis. With the piper playing and much pomp and circumstance, the Haggis was paraded into the dinning room and up... More

Overall, we had a great time! Lots of fun memories. The food was good. Yummy autumnal soup, haggis (thank goodness for the gravy!) and lemon dessert. But you really go for the entertainment. I guess I thought it was going to be a little more...serious. Like more formal. But don't get me wrong, cheesy is fun. The host was very... More

The show was fine. The venue was hot and crowded with no room to move for customer or waiters. The beef was so over done it could not be cut with a knife let alone chewed. Sent first piece back got an even worse one. No one in our group of 20 got a good meal. The fish dish was... More

Okay, the food is good, not excellent, but the meat was tender and people that have tried other haggis said this was particularly good haggis. The show was a lot of fun, the music was a nice mix and the dancers were good. This is a really fun night, just enjoy! Yes, the chairs are not the greatest, but it... More

The Venue: Prestonfield House is a haven in the centre of Edinburgh. Very "country house" in the middle of town, hidden away at the end of a residential area and at the foot of the fabulous Arthur's Seat. Peacocks and parklands set off the wonderful buildings which form Prestonfield House (do go early and have dinner or even just a... More

We had a wonderful time! We were seated at a table with no one able to converse as we were the only two English speakers. We muddled through and ended up having fun. The music and singing were great. The dancing was fun to watch. For a large venue serving a lot of people at once I feel they did... More

Following a two year break, my friend and I made a return to the historic and beautiful Prestonfield House and the Stables for the world famous taste of Scotland show. Prestonfield is set in beautiful country estate on the outskirts of Edinburgh in the shadow Arthurs seat and makes the perfect setting for an evening celebrating the best of Scotland's... More

Was asked along to this show and really wasn't sure what to expect.....it was brilliant I had a fabulous night. The setting is stunning in a marque, beautiful, clean and warm! The production of the show was 2nd to none, Scottish music played with bagpipes, a drummer, an accordion player, a violin.. The dancers doing a variety of Scottish dancing... More
