Awesome. Steep clime beside falls requires care but is well worth the effort. Loch at the top is quite atmospheric.

A steep climb for about 30/40 mins then flattens out for 20/30 mins before reaching the beautiful loch skeen.

Cracking walk up grey mares tail to the Loch at the top. Not overly steep but a steady pace. The loch is stunning with great views of 'the tail' on-route. The good news,is there is no ice-cream van at the bottom car park!

Climbed White Combe via Grey Mare's Tail. Lots of people heading up past waterfall to high level Lochan. Highly recommend it. Good footwear recommended!

There is a 60ft waterfall to see and a hill to climb. Ideal for your less adventurous hill walker or those just wanting a good day out on a hill. Nearest public loo three miles up the road.

We visited on Easter Sunday, expecting no one else or very few people because of the scottish weather(sleet drizzle). However the NT had an Easter egg hunt organised so there were quite a lot of folk about. We set off with our 2 dogs safely...More

Hi, will be in the area in the October holidays, with 2 kids aged 7 and 9. Would the climb up to the loch be too hard for them? Thanks for any advice X

It looks an absolutely stunning place to see and explore, but hasn't got any map details on webpage. Could you remedy this, please?
