Interesting, small museum outside of Dumfries. Quirky collection inside the tower outlining the past of the location.

Not many people are aware of the existence of this little treasure trove. Tucked away off Dumfries bypass, it can easily be missed. While we were there, it rained non-stop and there was a certain amount of sheltering under wings. While outdoors was decidedly damp,...More

Some lovely stuff here, and a very friendly, approachable staff. They are building new accommodation but in the meantime they have a what I think is the only F100 in Scotland, Rudolf Hess's flying goggles and a Red Bear nuclear weapon. What a mixture! Best...More

Really enjoyed our visit here - very relaxed atmosphere, lots to see. My 89 year old father even managed to sit at the controls in the cockpit. Made his day! Very pleasant volunteer staff, would recommend a visit.
