I used the Waverley line which I favoured for years. My journey was prompt and comfortable. The line needs more capacity and extending beyond Tweedbank. It is a great help to locals and tourists.More rail reopenings, less cars please!

This line runs from Tweedbank (near Melrose) to Edinburgh and is an excellent way to travel to and from the heart of the capital, much better and cheaper than car and the interminable bus journey. The car park at Tweedbank is free (though often nearly full) and safe and the trip is along some of the most scenic views in... More

Great if you don't wanna bus it to the city of Edinburgh. Or further afield. Plenty of customers uses it.

This is a great line running from the capital to the borders. The view of the landscape is picturesque. I've travelled this journey frequently and quite often it's hard to find someone to pay. I'd hate to think they don't think this line pays, it definitely won't if they don't charge. I've travelled to the borders more frequently than usual,... More

The Waverley line from Galashiels to Edinburgh should offer a hassle free way of travelling without parking but, not for the first time, there were only 2 coaches on a Saturday morning a month before Christmas, so the whole journey was spend standing up in the crammed full carriages and, when a traveller in a wheelchair tried to get on... Was looking forward to this run and it's great to see the new track and stations. Some lovely views of Borthwick and Stow. Unfortunately it's old carriages and our one smelled of sickness - such that people vacated the carriage.

One of the reasons for going to Gala was to enjoy the train trip on the new Borders Line. We were not disappointed with a leisurely journey enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. Perfect trip

Comfortable seats and relaxed journey allowing views of the countryside a car driver never sees. Easy way to travel to and from Edinburgh which takes the stress out of the travel. The only issue is the unreliability. I was travelling up to Edinburgh to watch the rugby but had to take the bus because there were 'leaves on the line'.... More
