These ferries are quite dated inside, however the staff are super friendly and helpful and it was very comfortable and didn’t feel crowded at all, which was a big plus for me. Great trip.

Both myself and partner enjoyed the crossing to Mull as foot passengers on 8th September. Felt very safe and would certainly recommend them for comfort and on board facilities.

With a few hours to spend in Oban, the friendly and helpful young lady at the Caledonian Macbreyne counter suggested we take the 12:20 ferry to Mull and back. We did and even enjoyed lunch on the way back. It was time well spent

If you are planning to take a vehicle you must book in high season. Foot passengers just buy a ticket in the booking hall.

It would be tight but not impossible. Important would be the arrival time of Glasgow bus into Oban, of course.
