Watch out or you will miss the door to this excellent museum. Its literally on the corner and if the removable notice is not outside on the street you may walk by. But don't it is an excellent museum, very well put together with plenty to interest all ages. Highly visual it gave me an insight into wartime Argyll that... More

We didn't have too long to look round, but enjoyed our visit and have yet to watch the extended video which we bought. It's free to visit and a nice escape from the cold weather!

This small museum has a marvellous collection with so much connected locally. It is free but donations welcomed. It is operated by knowledgeable volunteers who are very willing to impart it. It not only covers all military services but civil ones as well. Imperial war museum in a living room. Wonderful.

This is a fascinating little museum stuffed with lots of displays. Amazing artifacts, stories and manned by very helpful guides. I learnt a great deal and was interested to see that small boys had a wonderful time looking round.

Run by a team of volunteers and has a wide range of memorabilia from the wars. I have been in it on a number of occasions over many years and try not to miss it when I'm in the area

We were greater by a gentleman worked there who had great knowledge of Oban and the surroundings. Told us a couple of interesting stories then let us talk a wee tour. Small shop but loads of great pieces to view. Free to browse and ask for donations which I would say is well worth leaving something. Very friendly staff and... More

This is definitely a must. The museum is filled with a good amount of items. They go right back in time with all the services. One of the best things I would highly recommend is through the back they have a film which is really interesting and it also lets you have a rest after going round everything. One other... More

Well worth a flying visit. Oozing in history and heritage and full of information. All free of charge as well. The two guys on the front desk were a right good craic as well!

Thank Ryan M
