Closed to the public for the foreseeable future whilst the city council creates its latest planning disaster all around. What is it with Aberdeen? St Nicholas House was a disaster. Now being replaced by something which will soon be as bad. Or worse. Pity no one thought to recreate the historic streets they bulldozed so mistakenly 40 years ago as... More

Interesting building and museum in the city centre. Spaces are well laid out and it's GI to explore the old house. Sons areas are narrow due to the age of the building. Historically interesting. Great cafe and friendly staff this is suitable for adults and children.

One of the best places in city center to visit when in Aberdeen. It used to be hidden behind St Nicholas House (soon will be hide behind some shopping center) - beautiful old house with lovely exhibitions. Must see if you are interested in Scottish history

The Provost House continues to be boarded up as it is amidst a huge building project in the area. At the moment, it resembles an abandoned building.

Disappointed that we hadn't realised we were not able to visit this as the area is being redeveloped.

Well, what can I say! Great museum and lovely café in basement. Great the knocked down all those horrible council buildings and now we can actually see this historic building. The council should be shot what they are planning now!!!

Great place to visit and such an historic building of various dates back to 15th century. Presently closed due to completely inappropriate redevelopment. Soon to be eclipsed by a bit of council folly and hemmed in with huge glass boxes completely out of character. What planet are the councillors on?
