The garden is all that a formal garden should be and was beautiful in full bloom in August. The little museum was a nice addition to the garden and provided extra interest, though it didn't captivate our 7-year old. We had lunch in the tea room and service was very very slow and they had run out of soup (at... More

A nice way to spend 2-3 hours is to wonder around the incredibly neat and formal Pitmedden House gardens to the west of the village. The gardens have been in place for over 350 years but its only been in the last 70 years that they have been recreated to approximately what the Great Garden looked like when Sir Alexander... More

Excellent visit to this fantastic garden. A real lesson in formal layout, immaculate hedges and lawns mixed with the best trained fruit trees I've ever seen! Well done to all at Pitmeddan and the National Trust for Scotland.

We went to the tearoom for afternoon tea. It was lovely. Sandwiches, scones and tray bakes and tea/coffee. 2 for £15 was very much worth it. I will definitely be back for more 👍

Our first visit to Pitmedden Gardens was a delightful experience. A cheery welcome from the lady at the desk set us on our way out into the sunshine and onto the dew on the lawns which doesnt take long to penetrate open sandals ! Even at this time of year there was still colour left in the borders, and plentiful apples... More

Beautiful gardens, lovely afternoon tea. Great afternoon out. Well worth a visit if the weather is good to see both the gardens and to enjoy the surrounding walks. Also very easy to reach from Aberdeen.

Yesterday was our first visit to Pitmedden Gardens, but it will be the first of many. The Gardens are so beautiful and pristine. We visited with friends and our 5 year old and we all really enjoyed it. The array of colour and the wide open space ensured that we all had something to enjoy. The tea rooms looked amazing... More
