Aberdeen is know for its granite and that's best enjoyed on a sunny day. Marischal College is a fine example of architecture and grandeur. Have a wander in the courtyard and enjoy the shimmering of the granite. Not to be visited on a dreich day!

Beautiful granite building, staning architecture. If the sun is shining, the top of the building looks very much like Milano cathedral. Try to walk around when sunny! You cannot go inside as this is a city council building. So 5 to 10 min would be...More

This building is stunning if you take the time to study the detail and masonry. It really is superb. It is a crime then that Aberdeen Council have put up such a monstrosity across the road from it. What were they thinking. They should be...More

I didn't go inside the building, but the outside was magnificient and the history of the building was interesting. The tribute to Robert the Bruce outside made for a pictureque photo opportunity. A little disrupted by current roadworks, but still easy to get to.

Beautiful built granite building with outstanding masonery features created by master craftsmen. Now it is home to the aberdeen council. Looking out from the Marischal College is Provost Ross House and old but well kept tourist attraction. Shops etc surround this must see feature.

This is a building which is found in a lot of the guides and a photo-must. However i'm not sure if anyone can go in - many tourists just walk by and take photos and thats it.

We went to visit Marischal College as this is where my grandfather took his Medical Degree in the 1930's. The building is now used by the city and as such, there is limited access. The building itself is awesome to see and is the 2nd...More
