Old traditional streets where not much has changed in a long, long time. Original old houses with quaint little gardens and outbuildings. A leisurely walk round here takes you back in time. Great for a relaxing stroll just minutes from the hustle and bustle of...More

I think this place is delightful. I love the fact that really old buildings sit alongside more modern (but tasteful) ones. We chanced upon Shelagh Swanson's mosaic wall in progress and joined in, thanks to her. We loved walking around here.

This is one of our family's favourite places! Just take your time, don't rush and look at those little gardens and wee houses... I bet some locals would tell you some stories about this place ;)

Nice little village with cute houses and a view over the beach. There is a seafood restaurant there but we didn't try that. Definetely worth the visit.

Not sure what the hype is about here. Not as much character and charm as what I was led to believe. Nice walk on the beach to get to the place, but a let down once I arrived.

Lovely place to visit. A walk along the promenade and the village is at the end. People actually live there but it will make you want a house there. It even has it's own Church. Lovely visit even on a wild windy day.

This was recommended by a lovely lady in the tourist information office and I wasn't disappointed. Strolling through this old fishing village was amazing, the houses are so small it makes you wonder how many people could fit in there. There's a fish restaurant which...More

This is a quaint part of Aberdeen to wander about and get a sense of what the area would have been like as a fishing village before booming into a bustling city. These areas are, of course, still lived in, so it felt a bit...More

Yes you can walk it in twenty minutes or so, but goes past the docks so is not very pleasant for a stroll! Best bet is to drive and park at the sea front for free.
