The architecture is good, and the people working there are friendly. You can always chat with them or ask questions. Furthermore, you can also take one of the guides to get a better experience... What a beautiful place to see. Not only the cathedral but the graveyard is also steeped in history. Worth visiting.

A must to visit in Old Aberdeen. A wonderful building from the early 16t. century. If i am correct it was a bishopric from 1610?. recommend to walk about the churchyard, and read the scripts

I went with my grandmother to see St. Machar's. This cathedral is rumored to be the resting place of one of William Wallace's limbs which is cool for any Braveheart fan. The man in the shop was very helpful and answered all of our questions and provided us with some more information through booklets. When visiting, have a look at... More

We attended a couple of services last year and this. Great building and warm welcome from everyone we met. None of your dour Scots here. Lovely singing from the choir.
