Incredible experience
Aug 2018 • Friends
Enjoyed my time in the centre! Especially the dance part was so much fun! First we did the tin whistle workshop, after that we did the Irish dance workshop, last but not least we did the Guinness tasting with some traditional music and pizza. Everybody was so nice and friendly! I really recommend this centre!

Very good entertainment
Aug 2018 • Friends
I was there with a group and we had very much fun and enjoyed especially the dances and the free guiness beer. There were an excellent guides who also showed us how to play a special kind of flute. The pizza in the end made this experience unique and marvellous.

Seisin Summer Show 2017
Jul 2017 • Family
The show I attended was the first show in a series of 6 shows. The music was brilliant and of the highest quality of musicians and dancers. Unfortunately the show lasted only an hour and 20 mins and for the 8 pound admission for adults and 5 pound for children it was an expensive and brief night out for a family. I did enjoy the show but wished it had lasted at the very minimum 2 hours or even better 2 1/2 hours.

Fantastic groups workshop
Sep 2016 • Friends
Brendan made sure that our group from Switzerland experienced bodhrán and tin whistle workshops, as well as a an introduction to Irish music and great meal, followed by a seisiún.

This was a real experience and a chance to feel the culture, so different from just wandering around a museum.

Go raibh míle maith agat as an bhfáilte.

A great place for a Session
Aug 2016 • Friends
I was encouraged by Jennifer at the Tourist Information Office in Omagh (Thanks Jennifer) to go to one of the organised sessions or ‘Seisiún’ at Dun Uladh regional cultural centre just outside Omagh. I was sceptical of an organised session, as they can be very sanitised and false.

This was definitely not the case with this Seisiun, it was brilliant!! Part of this was due to the fact that most of those taking part were award winning in their field and together they provided the very best music from across Ireland. Dun Uladh provides a great venue for a unique traditional entertainment experience during July and August. Though it is a staged show of Irish music, song and dance, it is well run and has more than a touch of the Irish humour provided by Martin Donohoe as MC, a renowned button accordion player in his own right. .

Martin really helped the evening be more relaxed and maintain an informal feel to it. Some of the musicians appearing belonged to the Knockmore Ceili Band, 2014 All Ireland Senior Ceili Band Champions. There was a range of ages performing, from young children to adults, all to a very high standard.

Dun Ulladh is a lovely venue which can be presented in caberet or theatre style, has a balcony, so everything can be eaasily viewed. It also has a bar which is very reasonably priced. Altogether, a great night. Check out dates and times either at their website www.dunuladh.ie or through the Northern Ireland Tourist Information, you won’t be disappointed!!

Summer Seisiun 2015 july 14th
Jul 2015 • Friends
This is a must see show for anyone who would like to experience Irish culture at its very best. The music is of the highest quality, the singing, you'll not hear better anywhere in Ireland and the four dancers have to be seen and heard to appreciate the skill on show.
On top of that we have Martin Donaghue as the master of ceremonies giving each performer a warm Dun Uladh welcome. As Labhras O Murchu explained, this Seisiun is not only for visitors, this is for anyone who would like to experience our Irish culture in a wonderful setting, being performed by the cream of our local talent and others from our neighbouring counties.
I couldn't rate this highly enough and as Martin mentioned often, a lot of credit must go to Maggie Maguire who had arranged the musical pieces.
This is what Comhaltas is , promoting this culture, and I can say that this show is the equal of any show being run this year, so if you can get along to this mighty show on each Tuesday in Dun Uladh.

I visited the center in the summer of 2014 on a Saturday evening while visiting Ireland from the United States. The Bands and the dancers were fantastic I will certainly try and get there again when I visit there next summer. The atmosphere was very friendly and the bartender named Julie who I became very friendly with came out from inside the bar and gave us a dance She was very knowledgeable about upcoming events in the centre. I wish I could have visited again the following Saturday night but I was returning home to New Jersey on the following monday
