Reading the plaques that are at each mural you can begin to understand why the "troubles" happened. We found these murals to be very educational and we learned that the news coverage in America did not represent what the Irish were going through

This mural is part of the 12 murals by the Bogside Artists. These murals are dispersed throughout the Free Derry bogside area. Very humbling, passionate, political, and poignant.

These murals are moving reminders about the troubles that Ireland has gone through. They are a powerful art form.

Interesting features of this strife-torn city that are best experienced with a guide or a guide book that explains the significance.

No visit to Derry is complete without a visit to the Bloody Sunday mural as a way to remember those who died and learn more about the conflict.

This is a must visit. We visited these with our guide during our walking tour. These murals provide historical references to events and conditions endured by these folks.

I brought my Grandson & Daughter to see and witness the history that the Murals have captured over the many years of the troubles. Its a true saying that a picture paints a thousand words! These Murals paint many thousand words.
