My opinion is that this was the best golf I've played either in Ireland or the U.S. We played Doonbeg, Lahinch, Tralee, Sligo, Enniscrone, and County Louth in addition to RCD. Hands down the best. We used caddies and my caddie (Eamon) was excellent. He...More

Played August 3-4, 2017. Wonderful golf course. Weather was good but windy. Greens in very good conditions. Sand traps were difficult with deep rough and fescue around them. Definitely need to take a caddie for the blind shots , fore caddying and green. Had two...More

Beautiful, and difficult, golf course - one of the best anywhere in the world. Get caddies as there are lots of blind shots. First timers will be totally lost on their own. Perfect conditions and gorgeous views. Pricey, but so happy we played here.

An absolute must play if you are in Northern Ireland! Second time I have played and look forward to my next visit! Enjoyed tea and snacks in the restaurant on the second floor overlooking the 18th green!

We loved Royal County Down, a beautiful links style course. Our tee time was delayed by three hours due to course damage caused by torrential rain the night before. There are some very interesting holes and we had some wind which added to our challenge....More

With beautiful vistas and world class challenging holes, this course is worth any detour to play. On the shore of the Irish Sea, County Down has been the scene of numerous competitions. They could certainly host a British open except that space for crowds is...More

I w a s there in September so I suggest you call the course and ask as winter always presents challenges for places with nearly year-round play. No pun intended. :)
