Is this the best golf course I have ever played? It could well be. It is the perfect golfing country, the Mourne Mountains rise out of the sea to 3000 ft, the caddies really know their stuff and make it a unique, wonderful, memorable and exhilarating place to play. And the course itself is sublime. We were lucky to play... More

Played for Scotland vets vS The Rest vets - 2 rounds on the Championship course and one on the Anneslie. The Championship course deserves the No 1 in the world accolade. If you don't like blind shots then perhaps you should avoid !! The smaller, Anneslie course is a tough test with narrow fairways and small greens. Clubhouse excellent with... More

Elegant hotel in a beautiful location. Heavy comforters on bed will keep you warm but a bedsheet between you and the comforter would keep it from getting TOO warm.

We played 8 different courses in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Royal County Down was the best experience by far. My caddie "Barry" treated me like a tour player. Guided me around the course flawlessly, offered great advice and read putts like a magician. The facilities are awesome, the course was magnificent. This is a MUST play for anyone traveling to... We four brave souls ventured out from Madrid to play in the third and final leg of this excellent annual tournament. Our scores were all far from the leaders rostrum but this is to take nothing away from the quality and delight of this Northern Ireland paradise. The views are spectacular and ever hole offers opportunities and challenges. Even with... More

This is one of the best courses in the world. It is lovely, great fun to play, and a very challenging course. We would return in a heartbeat. We had a wonderful time, I would recommend a forecaddy to help you if you have not payed this course befor.

Whether you are a low handicapper, or just love the game and can get around a track without embarrassing yourself, DO NOT COME TO IRELAND WITHOUT PLAYING THIS COURSE!! it's visually outstanding, the golf is challenging, and the caddies (you can only walk this course) are a wealth of knowledge and insight and the surrounding town is an absolute joy!

Great golf course, great views, great conditions, great clubhouse, and great caddies! What else can you ask for? Every hole is different, challenging, and entertaining. There isn't a bad hole on the course. The bunkers are BRUTAL, but they're called "hazards" for a reason. The rough is punishing, but that's they they have fairways. From start to finish,a GREAT day... More

What a place to play. A must do for any level golfer although those that hit it straight will score better, however the beauty of the course is for all skill levels! Caddies not as helpful as I would have liked for our 4th person was pushing the cart. I asked my caddy Mike to help her out but since... More

Having the opportunity to golf at the number one club in the world was an amazing experience. I had rental clubs and my game was not great but what do you expect... My group had caddies for each of them except me. I pulled my clubs and the caddies occasionally helped me, most of the time I was on the... More
