Flip appeared in the series as a stand-in body double for the much loved Hodor and also for the towering Ser Gregor Clegane. You can see Flip in three iconic episodes in Season 6. Make no mistake – this is a man who knows what he’s talking about. The locations are a thrill to experience in their own right. Many are off-the-beaten track but with his insider knowledge, Flip knows exactly where they are. He’ll make sure you can get up close and personal with every one.
Another key ingredient is Flip’s expertise. In fact many of the filming locations are in his own backyard. As he talks to you, you’ll find his great love of the area is contagious. He’ll also be delighted to pass on his knowledge of the geological processes that created the beautiful coastal landscape.

What a wonderful guide we had today . We got picked up at 845 and dropped off at 530. A full on tour of GOT scenes , Bushmills Whisky and Giant Causeway . Flip was brilliant from start to finish . Easy going , full of geology information and an expert on GOT !

My wife and I have done GoT tours in other parts of the world, but NONE compare to our day with Flip. In the beginning I was worried he would become annoyed with my nerd level questions, but much to our surprise, Flip was dialed in with his excitement of the show and the area. Our group was small (3 people, me, my wife and my friend Todd). We went places the "big tours" could not. Saw things they would never get to and had the time of our lives! Flip would drive us to a location, pull out the iPad, show us a scene from the show and it would actual location would be right in front of our eyes! The trees were the same, the rocks were the same and you felt like you were in the show (without the death and ale and nudity). My wife and I had the opportunity to wear real show used jewelry (Queen of the North crown and Hand of the King pin). Ultimately the best part was spending the day with Flip. He is a gem of a fella and I would spend the day with him anywhere in the world if the opportunity ever arrises. Flip was the "secret sauce" of our experience and we hated to see it end. If you're thinking about doing a GoT tour in Northern Ireland, this tour with Flip is a no brainer. Cheers!

Well this is one review and recommendation that is hard to respond to.
I’m blushing as I write this as I feel so honoured to receive it. Suffice to say, I have shared this on my social media as it is so very special.
I hope that this helps your realise how grateful I am. Anything I write here will pale in comparison to your words.
I wish that you all lived closer so then I could pop over for a BBQ or meet you for a beer to continue our wonderful chats. Although, that said, I would travel to spend the day with you all again too!

Flip picked us up from our hotel in Belfast. We are all HUGE G.O.T fans but my husband and our friend remember every episode. Flip’s knowledge of GOT and Northern Ireland was amazing. The guys had the best time talking through all the scenes with Flip. Before we got out of the car, Flip would show us the scene from the episode which made the tour 100% times better than if we had been on a bus tour. It was trailered just for us. We eat lunch at a pub in BallyCally
We highly recommend this tour with Flip for couples, families, kids, or colleagues. We travel a lot and this was by far the best tour we have ever been on. Flip’s kindness is still making me smile as I wrote this!

I would highly recommend Flip and Giant Tours Ireland. He is very informed and delightfully personable! We spent 9 hours and it went by like 2. It was a wonderful day! Couldn't have been better.

Flip/Hodor brings GOT to life.
You see a cave, a beach, a mound, some steps or a walkway. BUT Flip explained the shot, the scene and showed us the actual clips shot at the spot.
WOW it would have been pretty drab but we hung onto his every word and got transported back to GOT.

This was truly a wonderful, magical day. I was so looking forward to a Game of Thrones tour and Flip did not disappoint!! It was even better than I could have imagined. My family was a party of five and two did not watch Game of Thrones but the tour did not disappoint them and in fact they are going to watch it now! Flip is so friendly and so knowledgeable. He definitely went above and beyond. The landscape was so breathtaking and Flip did such a good job setting the scene for each spot we saw. I learned so much from this tour. Definitely take this tour! I will surely book another tour with Flip when we come back to Ireland. I am going to tell everyone I know to book a tour with Flip. This was more than a tour it was a wonderful adventure!!

This is an expensive tour, was it worth it? Absolutely! My husband and I are not awash with money so this was a massive treat. I researched other group / private tours and car hire before booking and decided to go with Flip because it was clear from the get go, he is entirely focused on what you would like to do as well as having a stunning itinerary of places I would never imagined were there. Before I booked I contacted Flip as I wanted see the Giants Causeway and the Rope Bridge but also some Games of Thrones stuff for my husband. Re the Game of Thrones I’m not a fan so couldn’t explain what my husband would enjoy. Despite my utter vagueness Flip was amazing and curated a trip which just blew our socks off. So why was it so great….,,We were picked up promptly from our hotel and Flip is just wonderful, we hit it off straight away. The tour was epic, we went to countryside, beaches that truly took my breath away, caves, climbed across a rope bridge and of-course the Giants Causeway, plus numerous places in between. Honestly we had so many stops and enjoyed so many different things it was actually exciting to get back in the car and think I wonder where we are going next! So what were the highlights, for Game of Thrones Fans and non fans like me Cushendun Caves were great, my personal favourite was a beach which I’m not going to name as it’s charm was it’s seclusion and sheer untouched beauty. Driving along the coast road was fantastic and The Giants Causeway was as amazing as I hoped it would be. From a value for money perspective, having reflected on the sheer amount of what we did I think it was 2 leisurely day’s sightseeing in one day, so bare that in mind when comparing this tour to others. To be very clear you have enough time to enjoy each stop, you are definitely not rushed and you can spend as much time as you want wherever you stop. The point us Flip has somehow managed to plan this amazing itinerary where stops aren’t very far from each other so, once you’re on the coast road you spend more time doing stuff than getting to places if that makes sense. The best bit was Flip took everywhere at times which avoided the crowds, enhancing our experience 10 fold. Above all Flip is the most wonderful person, so knowledgeable and if you are into Game of Thrones he’s like a mastermind! This isn’t a job to Flip it’s a passion for Northern Ireland and I guarantee you will part as friends.

I am sure that others’ when trying to decide on a tour to book will find this very helpful. Many people are like yourselves, as in divided into two Game Of Thrones®️ camps — either fans or non-fans! I try to go that extra mile to ensure that everything is covered.
It is fair to say that this is an expensive private tour product and I believe that you have explained the reasons for that very well. I would like to add that if there are 7 people together (the maximum number who can travel in my van) then that per person price is not expensive at all.
I’m so glad that you both decided to book my tour and I am so very pleased that ‘I blew your socks off’…! I had such a good time with you two.
Thanks for your such kind words but I don’t think I’m quite ready for the Mastermind hot seat yet! You are however right about my role not being a job. When I’m out on my tours it’s easy to show the passion that I have for this place, it’s stunning scenery; and of course, the scenes that were shot in incredible locations!

My family (two adults and two children ages 7 and 9) just finished the most wonderful day with Flip Robinson on his Game of Thrones tour! I could not be more grateful that Flip was our guide! Not only did we spend the day visiting iconic and memorable scenes from the Game of Thrones series, but we saw the most beautiful and stunning landscapes across Northern Ireland. I was worried that my kids would be bored, but Flip is the most wonderful human being who accommodated us, took his time with us, and personalized our trip to meet everyone's needs - and needless to say, we all had a blast! There is something for everyone on this tour, even if you haven't seen Game of Thrones (as my kids have not), and Flip makes the entire trip so enjoyable with his knowledge of the show and the landscape, and his hospitality! We laughed and learned and had the best day ever. We will all be talking about this tour, and our friend Flip, for days to come! I highly recommend this tour with Flip! You won't be disappointed! It's worth every penny!

I treated myself to this tour for my 50th and it didn’t disappoint. In fact, it was the highlight of my entire trip! Flip picked me up from my AB&B in Belfast, and right away I knew he was just the coolest of dudes. As a solo traveler, Flip put me at ease right away with his genuine nature and great sense of humor. I couldn’t wait to hear his GOT stories-- not only his experience actually being on the set, but his vast knowledge of the GOT series and the filming locations. What I got, was so much more. Flip is 6’7” giant with heart of gold and an incredible gift of storytelling. I felt like I was truly on an adventure as we traversed the Causeway highway zipping around the large tour groups and easily pulling over for a cup of coffee, a hidden cave, or a majestically gorgeous vista with a view that will no doubt end up in a frame in my house upon my return. At one point, I realized I had easily been smiling and laughing for hours. I loved every minute -- eating fish and chips on a dock while being side-eyed by hungry ravens, learning about geology and Irish mythology, and having the best conversations about everything and nothing all along the way. Flip's great care and attention throughout the day will make you feel like royalty, even if you don’t get a chance to wear Sansa’s crown, like I did. Yes, this private tour is a bit more pricey than other GOT tours, but trust me, it’s Worth. Every. Penny. Come on, it's Westeros and Flip. You can't get any better!

The most wonderful experience is to spend the day with Flip on his Game of Thrones tour. He is extremely knowledgeable about all the filming sites and has other information and stories to tell. But that is not all. He is very knowledgeable about the geography and geology of the area, so you really learn about the environment in many different areas of Northern Ireland. He is extremely intelligent, thoughtful, easy-going and friendly. This is more than just a tour, it is is a well-rounded experience. Thank you so much Flip. We enjoyed the tour, the information and your company. Looking forward to sharing the experience with our friends and family.
