We offer coach and luxury car tours from Belfast - Iron Islands tours (visiting locations north of Belfast) and Winterfell Treks (locations south of Belfast). The Iron Islands & Giant's Causeway tour visits the cave where Melisandre gave birth to the shadow baby, Iron Islands locations from seasons 2 and 6 and the Dark Hedges, film location of the Kingsroad in season 2 . The Winterfell tour visits the original film locations of Winterfell, Robb's Camp in the Riverlands, Walder Frey's Twins and the forest where the direwolf pups were found. Our guides have all worked as extras on Game of Thrones®. We provide all the House Stark and House Greyjoy costumes you see in our gallery as part of the tours at no extra cost. It's all part of the real Westeros experience!

Robbie Rocks!
Took the tour with Robbie. He was excellent. As a background archer in the show his lively commentary was packed with inside info on the sets, the actors, costuming, and the scene shooting. During the rides to set locations he set them up perfectly with photos and video clips from the show. As a geologist, it was also a bonus to visit Giant’s Causeway and see the very unusual columnar basalt outcroppings (a World Heritage site). The only downside to the trip were the bus windows with foggy internal condensation degrading window watching a bit. Also Robbie told us the rock at the birthing cave was solidified glacial deposits thousands of years old. A check of the geological map of Northern Island reveals it to be a stream conglomerate of Devonian age (400 million years old). But these are minor issues that didn’t detract much from my enjoyment of the trip.

Amazing day & tour guide Robbie

As an extra on the show, Robbie knew A LOT about Game of Thrones. He shared his experiences with us engagingly & enthusiastically and is very pleasant to listen to. The tour was wonderful with the cloaks, shields and banners, but really Robbie made the day. Tollymore Forest Park is absolutely beautiful and I would love to go back there sometime. Overall, a great trip! Definitely worth a visit if you like GOT and would like to see more of the beautiful Northern-Ireland.

Hi Lisa, Thanks for taking the time to write this really terse and glowing review! Glad you appreciated the cloaks, swords and banners, because since it's a Game of Thrones tour we thought - why not, let's go all the way :) Tollymore Forest is especially beautiful in Sept-Oct if you ever get a chance to see it in it's autumnal glory, it's otherwordly. Glad Robbie brought it all together and you enjoyed your day with us!

I love GOT and the tour was amazing, but my favourite part was the energy of our guide Robbie. How he maintained this incredible enthusiasm for over 8 hours is mind blowing. Great tour and would definitely recommend.

Hi Syllygurl, Thanks for a great review for our Winterfell Trek and for the ever-enthusiastic and good-cheer guide Robbie. He keeps it up for 8 hours on this tour but he has been known to keep his energy going for maybe 15 hours total when he travels down from Northern Ireland to cover on the Winterfell Trek from Dublin - 11.5 hour tour - then when the customers are all dropped off in Dublin he drives back home to Northern Ireland! A legend and a hero on our team of guides :)

Fantastically unique experience that you won't forget!

100% recommend this tour for everyone! Our guide Robbie was fantastic - so friendly, full of charisma & interesting facts and we loved hearing his behind the scenes experiences of being on Game of Thrones. The locations are stunning and varied with everything from rugged coastlines, to caves, the famous dark hedges trees and even the Giants Causeway! It was the perfect length with not too long between locations on the bus but we were kept entertained with the scenes of GoT played between locations (which is great to jog your memory and make visiting the locations even more special!). Even if you are not a GoT superfan it is still a worthwhile trip just to see the beautiful coast of Antrim and some spots you would normally never get to visit. Such a unique experience and an affordable day trip that I will be recommending to anybody who visits Northern Ireland. Big thanks to Robbie and all the team :)

Hi Caroline, Thank you so much for a glowing review for our Iron Islands & Giant's Causeway with Robbie as your guide. As you say, this tour is worthwhile for non-GoT fans for the Glens of Antrim and north coast scenery alone, but if you are a GoT fan otherwise overlooked places like Cushendun Caves come alive as the caves where Melisandre gave birth to a shadow assassin and then six seasons later where Jaime Lannister fought Euron Greyjoy to the death. Thanks again for the recommend and for taking the time to write a review!

Adrian was fantastic, the tour is for fans of all levels but if you consider yourself a big GOT fan then you have to experience this. I won’t go into detail of all the little surprises and special parts as I don’t want to take anything away from the tour but suffice to say it was amazing. Interesting, funny, beautiful and so so worth it! We will be bringing friends back to do the tour again, without a doubt. This is a must!!!

Truly a unforgettable highlight of our trip to Belfast! Our group absolutely loved the knowledge of and enthusiasm for Game of Thrones form our your guide, Robbi. Robbi is an absolute gem. Every moment of the tour Robbi was so excited and happy to tour everyone through the beautiful scenery that was the backdrop for Game of Thrones. Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone!

Great Experience w/ Tour Guide Robbi

Let me say first that I am not a huge GOT fan. my friends are and they talked me into going with them on the tour. With that said, even if you are a casual fan you will enjoy this tour. The scenery was amazing, great facts and behind the scenes info about the show, and the highlight was our tour guide, Robbi. He puts so much into making sure everyone was having a good time and now I want to go back and watch it again.

Hi Reid, Thanks for talking the time to write a great review and we love to get great reviews from non-GOT fans who join our tours. After all, the Winterfell Trek is all about County Down - the rolling hills, Strangford Lough inland sea, the old growth forest of Tollymore and the jagged Mourne mountains. The fact that these locations were used in Game of Thrones just shows how County Down is an undiscovered gem. Watch GOT again and keep an eye out for the places you visited, especially in the opening few episodes of season 1!

A Must Do trip!

We LOVED our tour. We had Richard as our guide and Paul as a driver - they were amazing. Richard was energetic and friendly from the start to finish. He was happy to answer our questions and give us all the info. The places were stunning - you will fall in love with North Ireland after your first stop! We would absolutely come back and do the tour again!

A Must Tour.

In one word “ fantastic “
We did the tour - Iron Islands & Giants Causeway from Belfast with the Guide Richard. As a tour guide he was very informative with his inside knowledge,as he worked on set as an extra. We arrived on time at each place, got lots of info at these places were transformed into the scenes. Getting dressed up at location was fantastic.
This tour is a must so to quote Jon…My watch has ended.
