It took me a good 90min to get to the top. Can be quite busy at times but not disturbing at all. The combination of blue bells and trees makes it look like a fairy tale land and the higher you get the more stunning...More

Beautiful tree lined roads to drive through. The rhododendrons were just magical in full bloom. Great for a hike. Well worth a visit for nature lovers.

Weather permitting this is a very enjoyable walk though a bit steep in parts it can be managed by some one of average fitness. Takes about 1:30 hours.

the walks are mostly in overgrown country paths, very had to get good pictures until you get very high up, not recommended for folk with walking difficulties

Simply beautiful. Take any number 1 bus and ask the welcoming bus driver to let you off at Belfast Castle. Flat shoes and layers are compulsory. Enjoy the amazing view - Belfast at night is awesome!

This is an excellent way to spend your day if you have a couple of free hours. The hills takes about two hours to climb depending which path you take up but the incredible views from the top are so worth it.

Climbed cave hill on a sunny day. We followed the longest route (green). Hike testing enough but plenty of places to stop and rest... and take in the stunning views of Belfast. Plenty of great photo ops and enjoyable afternoon out

It’s easier on the lower path, it is a proper path and there are places to rest and leads up to the castle itself - I would test it first though as you know your mum better than me!
