For a donation at the door you can enjoy a museum filled with fascinating exhibits and activities for all the family to get involved with as they learn more about the world around us. I highly recommend you check out this museum for a few hours of exploration. Parking has been an issue on previous trips, it can be hard... More

We spent a morning going round the rooms here. Loved the one with the mummy in it. The restaurant was really good with great snacks & the gift shop was good as well

Right next to Botanic Gardens - so easy to find. Allow 4 hours or so for inside the museum as its over 5 levels with lots and lots to see in each.

Although this museum is a lovely part of Belfast and has a wide range of exhibits, the layout of the museum was very confusing and slightly random. The map didn't help much so we found ourselves walking in circles quite a lot. However, if you're looking for something to do that is free, this is a great option.

The Ulster museum has an eclectic range of exhibits, but perhaps lacks coherence. The first two things we saw were a replica skeleton of a triceratops next to a vintage car. That said, there is some impressive stuff. I thought the exhibition that chronicled the troubles was sensitively done. It is free, so well worth a few hours of your... More

So impressed by this museum, it has everything.....set aside a minimum of 2hrs. The staff were so friendly and informative, the cafe was first class, next time I visit Belfast I'm going to set aside a whole afternoon to do this place justice.

I visited the museum with my son and 6 year old granddaughter and we all found something of interest. The Royal Ulster Academy exhibition was on with painting, photography, sculpture and installations. My granddaughter enjoyed a dinosaur hunt and the art activity room. She was also fascinated with the fossils. There was much, much more so get along and see... More

We visited the Ulster Museum on Bank Holiday Monday after New Year. It was hard to find anything open that day but the Museum was so we headed out to the museum without any great expectations. However we had a great visit - the staff were absolutely great, so friendly and helpful. Our children had a wonderful time going around... More
