Moving, historical cemetery. Walk towards the middle where you will see a memorial to the "volunteers", including Bobby Sands. A lovely, peaceful place.

A good place to start or end a walk up the Falls Road. The various republican plots are very interesting and cover ther whole of ther 20th centruy - and even further back. There's other things too eg the graves of Polish pilots who died during the secodn world war.

Walked up the Falls Road passing many Republican murals up to Milltown Cemetery passing Belfast City Cemetery on the way, my main reason was the Republican plot and on my way to it came across various other plots like the Republican Socialist plot which are all interesting.A really nice Cemetery with a backdrop of hills.

This cemetery is absolutely amazing. Besides the fact that a lot of my family are interred here, and I spent many an early childhood visiting family graves, this historic resting place for absolutely thousands and thousands is very much worth a visit. Take some time to wander among the miles of paths and in and out of the incredible monuments... More

Went here on Sunday to show some teenagers who were traveling in our group some of the history of NI, I took them there as part of a "tour" I gave them around the city, they were engrossed in the whole tour and came away with a whole new education about the city It's a must visit 👌👌

Great to see how well this cemetery has been cleaned up. So educational and enlightening, I could have spent forever locked away in this little piece of history.
