For those with an interest in The Troubles and in Irish movies. There's a sadness about the divided neighborhood. Very real, nevertheless. A must-see.

The Falls Road is the Catholic road, you can find several Catholic churches in the area while all the Protestant ones have been either demolished or converted for other uses as the Protestant population declined. You can find lots of murals on the walls as...More

Very important road in the north of Ireland and I'm glad I can say I've visited it for sure and worth 5 stars from me

Plenty of history on falls road, murals and peace wall, Irish cafes and bars, tour bus or tour taxi, 2x cemeteries, parks and valise to divis black mountain

We stopped of at the peace wall and was moved by why it originally was built. But now it represents peace and should stay forevermore as a memory of the troubles.

Another interesting stop on our tour around the city, well worth a look as the name, comes back to haunt us from the 1970's

Walk around the falls road area and you will see several murals. A stark reminder of what was a terrible time. Very interesting to get to see both sides of the argument visualised.

Certainly more visual and confounding depending on what you read into them but the art has an impact. Some of the art has been in place for years, other change recently. Best to view by cab.

My last visit to Belsfat was some years ago and we made the drive along the Falls Road looking at the gable end murals. Many of these now seem to have disappeared and the tone, both here and in the Shankhill Road now seems less...More

I got one of the city sightseeing buses - £10 and you can hop on and off for 72 hours. It's not that far to walk from city centre either.
