We were the only visitors and had a great time imagining how the castle would have been when occupied. Stunning views over the salt marshes. There is a farmhouse selling salt marsh lamb (which we bought) and where you pay for the castle. The man was very friendly and said he'd just been featured on Coast that past week with... More

This is on the North side of the wonderful Gower peninsula. It has a good cafe but is best as the starting point for a lovely walk down to the estuary where you can walk in either direction to complete a circular trip. It the wind is strong from the East this walk is beautifully sheltered.

Went to pick up some salt Marsh lamb. The views are absolutely stunning and a really nice drive. Now..... To the lamb. The lamb was delicious. No fat, tender and a stunning texture. Worth it 100%.

Wel first off, it's not really a castle. It's more of a fortified manor house. But that aside, its well worth a visit, with great views over the estuary and enough info to keep you informed and entertained. Nooks and crannies abound, rooms explained and one really does get a great sense of how and why this was built and... More

Firstly, the parking it was very difficult. There is space for about three cars. We nearly got stuck turning around. This castle is a ruin and it takes a little imagination to see life here five hundred years ago. The views are good, but I'm afraid that is all I can say apart from the fact there are a lot... More

A very wet and grey day, but decided to go and have a look round anyway. Went to pay at the farm door - no one appeared, so went and had a look round the castle anyway. It is a ruin - but a fascinating one. Various bits and pieces in various stages of (dis) repair. An interesting exhibition on... More

First proper trip to Weobley Castle, easy enough to find, though on arrival, we did have a little trouble finding the car park, as no sign posts, there is one there, but it's not very big, and at the time we arrived, there was a coach parked in it, so hardly room left to park, so we ended up parking... Very nice situated castle. Beautifull view on Llanrhidian Marsh Nature Reserve. You can easily walk in there from castle. You can pay for the entrance in The farm house. If no one is there you can pay by putting money in to money box outside the door and go to castle by yourself. Not much to walk and discover but... More

This is a small castle (or more correctly a fortified house) A beautiful setting and interesting to walk round. Its only small so it doesn't take long but you could take a picnic and sit on the grass enjoying the views across the salt flats. A little gem that is worth seeking out.
