l have long-loved the fantastical allure of the sublime, timeless place that is Cwmdonkin Park. So, in thrall, as are we all, to the lyrical, immortal Dylan Thomas, l proffer a pastoral, poetical response to The Hunchback in the Park.... The Hunched Bark in the Park At our bucolic, little idyll, all is silent stillness in Swansea's invisible, small hours.... More

a small park situated in Uplands, Swansea and once haunt of Dylan Thomas. Very pleasant for an evening stroll and then adjourn to a local hostellry.

This is a beautiful park, with carefully tended flower beds and great tennis courts! There is also a very nice little coffee shop in the grounds! This is worth a visit!

A beautiful small city centre park where Dylan Thomas grew up. His house is preserved and open for visits and loads of history to be seen.

Good park. Be even better with more play areas as it gets busy. The tennis courts are free. The cafe is good. Really nice flowers everywhere. You can find a peaceful spot.

A lovely place to walk, whether it's with a partner, a dog or both. Plenty of trees, flowers and open grass areas to take you away from the outside world. On sunny days it's nice to surrender yourself to the suns rays whilst sitting on a bench or the grass. It feels a safe place to be for those that... More

This lovely municipal park is bigger than it looks from the entrance (oh and there are several). Its paths meander up and down: it IS hilly. There's a decent coffee shop, a childrem's play area, carvings representing its illustrious former user, a well kept pond and plenty of woodland: go in Autumn for stunning colours. A very relaxing place to... More

Took my Australian visiting friend to the park for an afternoon walk to get out and take her mind off jet lag. Beautiful place regardless of the season. Well looked after!

Wandering around Dylan Thomas's local park is always a pleasure. Small but pretty & well maintained. A good coffee/ice cream parlour in the old Victorian pavilion too.

We visited thisarea because of Dylan Thomas - and we wanted to see where he lived and wrote - understanding a little more about his writing
