This is open April to End of September and is awesome and has a visitor shop that you can buy gifts from and facts about the bridge. 😁🚴♿🚹🚺🚻🚢🚗 This is a great bridge to climb to see a great view of Newport .

If bridges are your thing then it obviously gets a five star rating, if not then it has to be the opposite of that so really have to rate it average under the circumstances. Not open all year round so have to check with the council as to when it should be open or just take your chances and visit... More

This is an amazing piece of engineering. Unfortunately it was not operating the day I visited but I had been on it before many years ago.

I have absolutely NO IDEA why I find a trip on the Transporter Bridge so exciting. It's probably because I have never been on anything like it, anywhere else in the world. The guys who direct your car are so efficient and it's just an absolute treat to use it. The engineering is amazing. Well worth a go when you... More

I love this bridge. Its so unusual. Take your car over ,cars were much smaller in the days when it was built, so its a bit of a squeeze for two cars side by side.

There are only 2 Transporter Bridges left in the UK, and it's nice to have one I see nearly every other week. Unfortunately due to funding the bridge isn't open all the time- rarely is anymore. But sometimes the bridge is open to walk across the top of it- and it doesn't feel as big a climb as it actually... More

I think its great that you are able to climb up this amazing structure and walk along the top, just as they used to do when it first opened if they couldnt afford the crossing toll. Having a return leg on the gondola included in the price is nice too. Warning though, it is a hell of a climb up... More
