I've visited Cardiff Bay many times over the last 7 years and visited the iconic Pier Head Building but was disappointed with the new floodlighting. The floodlights were glaring to foot traffic around the building, the light on to the building was patchy, some very bright areas and other areas left dark, the principle parts of the building e.g. the... Lots of historical information can be located in this very orange-coloured building. It's free and the receptionist is absolutely friendly. The documentaries are very well-presented and it is definitely worth to spend some time here. It is also a great spot for some photo shoots.

This building is very interesting and it gives you an insight on the history of the Port of Cardiff. I was supposed to stop by for 10 minutes for some photo shoot but I got fascinated with the history of the pier that I sat down to study and listen to the well documented films and lots of pictures too.... Having walked past this building numerous times in the past we realised that you could actually go inside so that is what we did.It was really good.I expected to be in and out in about ten minutes. One hour later,we were still in there. In short,it gives a history of the Port of Cardiff with film, pictures and words. It really is a hidden... If you're down the Bay then pop in. Saw the film re the history and developments of Cardiff so it helps as you visit other areas of the city.

Our second visit but made much better by the cheery gentleman on reception on the morning of December 22nd who put on 2 films for us to enjoy . These don't last too long and are well put together histories of the docks which we really enjoyed.

As a Cardiff girl, I'm very familiar with this iconic building and love its architectural style and accompanying history. However, I find the reception staff uninformed and generally pointless. Every time I visit I have a different query, either about the history of the building or about events and exhibitions going on in the area and each time they are... More

I found this to be a very good exhibition honouring some previous residents rom Cardiff's past and their achievement, and showing some local history about industry and the docks etc. I am not sure what better use people think the building should be put to, unless it's to be another chain restaurant or knick knack shop!?

The most stunning building in the area. Architecture at its very best, just a pity that the designers of the surrounding structures didn't follow the example. Good exhibitions inside.

As a tourist attraction the experience is underwhelming. There is very little to grab your interest inside. This is a great pity as it is the most prominent oldish building in the bay complex and it has the potential to be a major attraction. For the moment don't bother unless you want to get out of the rain.
