Built in 1905 of portland stone and having a 60 metre(200 feet) high dome and clock tower, this is one impressive building.
Inside is a marble floor and statues, including one of St. David. Open Monday to Friday.
A stunning venue... lovely and central. Car parking is all around the sides of the building.

I attended a wedding here a few months ago, and having never been in this stunning building before I was stunned by the décor of the whole place, every room was outstanding and a lovely setting for a wedding.
... and they don't don't build them like this any more" are two well trod cliches but certainly reflects the fine and varied history of this municipal building. Very "grand" and imposing, with helpful and friendly staff at the function I attended.
