Bute Park is a lovely park. There is a good mixture of landscaped formal park and more wild parts. I was really impressed by the possibilities for children to play and learn. For adults I would recommed a walk along the river.

A lovely place to sit and watch the world go by and the squirrels! Next door to Cardiff castle, it's a lovely walk with regular seats.

Me and my girlfriend only had a short stroll through the park (mainly around Cardiff Castle), but it was lovely and clean. Could see a marquee up on some of the big green, so was impressed that events were hosted here. Completely rate the accessibility...More

The Park is close to the castle and nice to walk around. The air smells fanastic and we passed through it after arriving by Boat.

You can't visit Cardiff without strolling through Bute Park. It is simply "Mother Nature" at its best. The trees are magnificent. It is very well maintained. A great escape from a busy lifestyle. Highly recommended.

There is NO fee for entry to the park. Any footwear if fine, although, that will depend on the amount of walking wishes to do.

Depends where in the Park you are walking and time of year; for a summer stroll on the main footpaths, ordinary shoes are fine. If you are dog walking in autumn or winter, then good quality wellies are advised
