Even if your not into engineering this visit will impress you , unless you dead to see the massive machinery, generators , valves is impressive to say the least just the size of everything , but add to the fact all this is built under...More

Really enjoyed the visit and understanding how it all works. But did feel as though we were being rushed through - sometimes there was barely time to read the information. Could easily have spent hour and a half or more but weren't given time. Overall...More

We came across the Electric Mountain visitor centre by accident when driving through Llanberis, and were really glad we did. We were fortunate enough to get cancellation tickets for the tour, which really needs to be booked in advance, but we didn't know this. However,...More

The positive aspect here is that you do get to go inside the mountain and see some of the pipes and generators. However, the tour is awful. Overall it lasts 1 hour and 10 minutes. They start with a 10 minute video on the visitor...More

We booked in advance for the tour. It was very good and a good way to spend just over an hour, we were able to get off the coach look at the valves and generators and turbines. We all enjoyed it.

As a tour its right on the edge of terrible, not really much of a touristy adventure. Padded out with lots of video nonsense that endlessly repeats itself. Obviously a technical achievement back in the day. Maybe you believe it's the way forward for generating...More
